"Time is always moving. The important thing is to learn from the past and then look forward to the future."
- Tenzin Gyatso
Tenzin is one of my favourite Buddhist philosophers, he speaks so deep and so true in everything he writes about. I have recently been pouring over text of his given that I am moving to Asia in a few months. I am ploughing more time into my Charity (Orphanage Volunteer Work http://www.orphanagevolunteerwork.co.uk/), the Charity aims to connect people who wish to give their time to help those less fortunate and avoid the pitfalls of going with volunteer networks that look to make some money out of you in the process.
Moving back to the point of Tenzin, he clearly recognizes, which not a lot of people do, is that time is fleeting, people often don't learn and are doomed to repeat their mistakes because they are comfortable knowing what they know, at some point we all have to take a leap of faith in our own abilities and truly upset our balance to test and stretch ourselves.
Standing still is not what a wise man would do, and neither should you.
