I can be a little insecure, and a little overwhelming.

6th January 2011

I can be a little insecure, and a little overwhelming.

Insecurity can run very fast through my body when I find myself in situation I have no control of, or that have presented due to moments of being careless. I try extremely hard to control every aspect of my life so I do not have a negative impact on those peoples life's I am involved in. With that being said I am very aware that due to my own selfish requirements I am still being reckless with people's feelings on a daily basis, it's something I am learning to manage, but I am prone to the odd slip up, more so than late, which I blame to my head not being clear.

With these clouded thoughts I sat down and thumbed through a Dalai Lama book I own, and I came up to a particular chapter where the Dalai Lama XIV said the following:

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.

Keeping a cool mind is essential, I know this, and I always feel the need to surround myself in the words that remind me of this fact. A level head is one of the great attributes one can possess, to gain a level head I think that you should not speak evil of others, nor discuss their actions. Evaluating others can lead to nothing good.
