I for the first time today watched Seven years in Tibet (IMDB) - I know, I know, late or what considering the movie is over a decade old, but I remember trying many years ago with seeing this movie and Brad Pitts poor acting and extremely dodgy and ever evolving accent put me right off the sense. This outing I managed to put that to one side and concentrate on the story of the young Dalai Lama which I found was nothing short of amazing.
I have read a lot of material about Tibet and the Dalai Lama but it was quite sensational to see many things that I have read acted out in such away. Buddhism and in particular the Dalai Lama's words mean a lot to me, they have helped a lot in recent times and to get this kind of insight helps bring me closer to understanding what an incredible human being the Dalai Lama is.
